The USTA believes that physical education and exercise are critical in promoting and developing your child's health and
well-being.
With the new 10 and Under Tennis format a child can begin playing as young as 3 years old. This format allows your child to develop their skills, confidence and focus. Tennis helps develop hand-eye coordination. On court maneuvers help develop balance and agility while reacting to opponent's shots keeps your child's mind sharp and focused. Exercise alone is not the only answer to avoiding obesity in children; however, it is a key part to the equation along with a healthy diet. Having your child play tennis regularly can help combat obesity.
