Flipkart Using Human Brain As Model For Big Data

Flipkart is an e-commerce company that was founded in 2007. They are India’s version of Amazon, and are the leading sellers of a wide variety of products including electronics, clothes, and home furnishings. The thing that is setting this company apart from others in India is their use of Big Data.

This young company is staying ahead of the times by looking at consumer trends and implementing strategies to cater to those trends. By harnessing their data and learning from the patterns, Flipkart is constantly adapting to make their consumers’ buying experience more enjoyable.

The next step for Flipkart is to use big data and mobile phones to transform shopping apps into the number one way to buy products. How are they going to do this? Flipkart intends to make their program more like the human brain, teach it to remember images and make connections like brain waves.

The human brain is constantly rewiring to form memories and connections that allow us to learn. This is what Flipkart aims to do with their software, they want to teach their app to recognize images and better market to individual customers based off of their likes or dislikes.

As computers and mobile technology becomes more advanced, this notion seems more and more realistic. It will be interesting to see if this type of marketing is accepted or denied by the public.
