Vintage Groucho Marx Hand Puppet 1952 Very Rare (Black Face)

Groucho Marx, is considered one of the best American comedians of the modern era. He, achieved great success in film, on stage, radio, television and music as well. Woody Allen said, “Groucho Marx, was the greatest comedian this country has ever produced.”  He and his brothers, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo were vaudeville superstars. They created Broadway shows, which they turned into very successful films. Groucho appeared in 26 films. 13 with his brothers. “A Night at the Opera,” “A Day at the Races,” “Duck Soup” and “Monkey Business” are highlights.   Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo became comedy legends as the Marx Brothers. They were seamlessly perfect foils for each other. Groucho, was the master of “Insult Comedy.” As the outspoken loose cannon, he got most of the laughs and notoriety.
